The location is great! But for comfort is a “0” star. Costumer service is terrible. Our room was freezing and guys from the front desk said management is not turning the hit on to save energy. My husband got sick because is only option for a/c in our room with temperature cold 🥶 0 C and not option for heating. The maid didn’t clean our room and bathroom’s door is not closing properly so our floor was flooded everything we use the shower. We hear other people’s complains at the reception “room extremely uncomfortable” among others. Nightmare hotel.

This hotel was, for us surprisingly, on a perfect spot in the historic centre of Porto. We had a perfect stay here. Rooms are not very big but clean and not loud. A lot of main attractions good be done by feet and the main shopping street was just around the corner. Lots of small restaurants for breakfast and/or good lunch and diner. The only thing we missed in this hotel was a small bar for relaxing after a long day and before going to bed or just to enjoy a drink before going out for diner.
I really can recomend this hotel to everyone and I’m sure I will consider this hotel whenever I will go back to Porto.

LOCATION: on Praca da Batalha, close to Porto’s market (currently under renovation, temporary one nearby as well), main shopping zone Rua Santa Catarina), just uphill from Sao Bento train station, cathedral, bridge to Villa Nova de Gaia, and funicular down to the Ribeira historical area.
FACILITIES, STAFF: Sleek modern rooms occupy a remodeled movie theater. Classy interior is tastefully decorated with black-and-white photos of movie stars. Welcoming lobby and common areas. Friendly, helpful, highly professional ladies and guys at the reception, in the restaurant and on the cleaning crew.
ROOM: clean, spacious, comfortable.
BREAKFAST: superb. For 7.5€ you get a great buffet with nice selection. And you could squeeze your own fresh orange juice!
PRICE: Last but not least, this amazing place is temptingly affordable (knock on the wood)!
