In all Moov hotels, both in Portugal and Brazil, there is always a great concern for ecology and sustainability, both in terms of resources and in terms of culture and society. In some of the hotels, such as Moov Porto Centro, Moov Évora and Moov Porto Alegre, the façades have been preserved so as not to de-characterise the streets and areas in which they are located, bringing harmony to the cities and preserving cultural aspects.
These are some of the measures taken to help reduce your footprint and preserve the planet:
- Filtered water dispensers are available on every floor for refilling your bottle, helping to reduce the use of single-use plastic.*
- Complete elimination of plastic and replacement with glass
- Recycling bins for guests’ use in common areas*
- Towel reuse: towels are only put out for washing if the guest requests it
- Bed linen will only be changed if the guest requests it during their stay
- All the bathrooms are water-efficient, with low-volume toilets, dual flush toilets, smart showers, taps and low-flow shower heads
- The rooms have energy-saving switches and the corridors and common areas have motion sensors with LED lights
- There is no minibar in the rooms in order to conserve energy resources.*
- All windows are double-glazed, providing both thermal and acoustic insulation.**
- All buildings are designed to provide acoustic insulation both between rooms and from outside noise.**
- There are policies in place against food waste that include education, waste prevention, reduction, recycling and treatment of food waste
